BASTIONS — PRIVACY POLICY

Last updated: June 2026

Bastions ("the Game") is a browser-based arcade game by Pascal Pasaribu. This policy explains, plainly, what data the Game handles. The short version: the Game collects no personal information, has no accounts, no analytics, no ads, and sends nothing to any server.

1. What the Game stores

The Game saves your progress locally on your own device using your browser's localStorage. This data never leaves your browser. It consists of:

None of this is personal data. It contains no names, no e-mail addresses, no identifiers of any kind — only game state.

2. What the Game does NOT do

3. Audio

The Game plays sound effects (synthesized in your browser) and music files bundled with the Game. Browsers require a user interaction (such as a click) before audio may start; the Game uses your first click solely to unlock audio playback. No microphone or recording capability is used or requested.

4. Deleting your data

Because everything lives in your own browser, you are in full control. To erase all Game data, clear your browser's site data / localStorage for the page hosting the Game (in most browsers: Settings → Privacy → Clear browsing data → "Cookies and other site data", or via DevTools → Application → Local Storage → delete the bastionFable* keys). Deleting the data simply resets your save slots and settings.

5. Children's privacy

The Game does not collect data from anyone, including children. There is nothing to collect, so there is nothing to consent to.

6. Changes to this policy

If a future version of the Game ever changes how data is handled (for example, adding online leaderboards), this policy will be updated before that version is released, and the change will be noted at the top of this page.

7. Contact

Questions about this policy can be directed to the developer, Pascal Pasaribu.
